This project focused on modernizing outdated HVAC and AHU systems for a large commercial property. The goal was to implement centralized monitoring, automation, and energy optimization through PLC integration and a smart BMS platform, enhancing comfort, operational efficiency, and sustainability while reducing energy costs and maintenance downtime.
The existing HVAC and AHU systems were operating with minimal automation and lacked centralized oversight, leading to rising operational costs, inconsistent comfort levels, and reactive maintenance. These challenges impacted both the occupants’ experience and the facility’s operational efficiency, creating the need for a scalable and intelligent building management solution.
We implemented a modernized control framework by integrating PLC controllers with a smart Building Management System. Key environmental sensors for humidity, temperature, and airflow were connected to a SCADA dashboard, enabling seamless remote monitoring, real-time control, and automated HVAC scheduling, significantly improving operational efficiency and indoor comfort.
The upgraded system enabled the facility to achieve significant energy savings, reduce unplanned maintenance, and streamline HVAC operations through intelligent automation. Real-time alerts and centralized monitoring enhanced operational responsiveness, while optimized scheduling improved occupant comfort and overall environmental quality, ensuring long-term sustainability and performance for the facility.
